Coaching Offering + Bio
Devon works with coaching partner typically for 6-12 months when women leaders and leaders of color are in transition, seek to change equity internal to their organizations, and/or are building something new and need a thought partner to help activate their vision. Below are ways she tends to work:
Weekly meetings at the same time for up to 55 minutes over video.
Asynchronous video (over Marco Polo) conversations are offered as a part of the engagement where updates, questions, reflections can be shared openly anytime.
Offers of intros to Devon’s network of changemakers & social sector leaders
Weekly assignments or learning tasks are also offered (these might look like leadership or communication style assessments, reflection activities, reading or research, etc.).
Devon has partnered closely with over 30 impact Founders, Executive Directors, and leadership teams based nationally and globally. She uses a mix of positive psychology and cognitive behavioral approaches to support leaders in their personal and professional growth. Devon has served in roles including Development and Communications Manager, Senior Program Manager, Grants Coordinator, Program Director, Chief of Staff, Consultant, and Co-Founder.
Partnering primarily with women leaders and leaders of color, Devon has worked with organizations centered on youth, education, international development, and climate/social justice as a coach for 8 years formally, and 15 years informally. Devon holds a deep collective and individual equity perspective having analyzed and worked to change systems and individual behaviors over her career. Devon believes that empathy, collaboration, deep trust (of self and others), power sharing, growth mindsets, and commitment to high impact are essential ingredients for successful leaders.
